Fashion Essentials: 5 Cute Bag Every Women Should Own
Cute clothes call for cute bags according to the post on the US Trendy Indie Clothing Store's Fashion blog. I couldn't agree more!
With that in mind here are 5 basic bag styles that your wardrobe should contain as they never seem to go out of style and are versatile enough to be dressed up or down to match your outfit.
The Tote Bag
These come in a wide variety of colors, sizes and styles and can be dressed up or down. They are perfect for work and usually are good for holding files, book and some other arbitrary paper work.
The Satchel Bag
The right satchels looks great when paired with some cute clothes and a great outfit and can hold just about everything - usually make-up, accessories and a book for those quiet times when you feel like chilling in the park - mine makes for a great back rest too, which is a bonus.
The Clutch Purse
Grab your cute shoes and dress up for a night out on the town, but don't forget your small, elegant and convenient clutch bag or purse to hold keys, make-up, mace and a few other selected essentials. I don't think I could live without one.
The Hobo Bag
No, not the brown paper of plastic variety. Hobo bags vary from small to large and are a more feminine alternative to the Satchel or Tote and have a more traditional purse type look. I have an old banged up leather one which I inherited from a friend years ago and have never felt the need to replace it. It holds everything I need, make-up, some extra clothes and a few essentials, perfect for taking with to sleep overs with my girl friends.
The Messenger Bag
Similar to the Tote bag, messenger bags can accommodate a bunch of work related stuff like books, laptops and files. The main difference between a tote and a messenger bag is that the messenger bags are slung across the body and make carrying a little extra weight a little easier. I picked up a cute canvas one at the US Trendy Indie Clothing store before coming to Costa Rica and it's still going strong after 6 months of daily use.
Well, there you have it - put these in your closet and you'll always have a bag that's right for the outfit and occasion.
Personally, I seem to use the messenger bag the most, it's perfect for traveling around town, is difficult to snatch (downtown San Jose at night can be a little rough) and my laptop and camera fit in along with all the other "essentials" that a girl needs.

Mashable recently summed up the US Trendy indie clothing concept perfectly:
"Us Trendy combines the design competition concept of sites like Threadless and CollarFree, and throws budding fashion designers and models into the mix. The site is simple in purpose and practice. Wannabe designers upload their creations to the site, users vote on the designs they like, and Us Trendy produces and sells the most popular designs in their online store."
